Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Orzhov combat-reanimator strategy commanded by Squall, SeeD Mercenary. The core game plan revolves around casting Squall ahead of curve using dense fast mana, then attacking alone to grant him double strike. Each combat connection yields two separate reanimation triggers targeting permanents with mana value 3 or less. This engine allows the deck to repeatedly recur disruptive stax pieces like Drannith Magistrate and Opposition Agent, or looping edicts like Plaguecrafter to starve opponents of resources. Simultaneously, powerful Equipment like Commander's Plate, Blackblade Reforged, and Idolized turn Squall into a rapid commander damage threat. The deck also features a compact creature combo via Buried Alive, fetching Warren Soultrader, Forsaken Miner, and Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER to drain the entire table. Multi-layered protection from Grand Abolisher, Mother of Runes, and Flawless Maneuver ensures the deck executes smoothly through opposing interaction.
