Smaug the Magnificent by Xephus

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-red Treasure/Dragon burn deck helmed by Smaug the Magnificent, whose attack trigger converts your Treasure count directly into damage to any target. The entire 99 is built around one loop: generate as many Treasures as possible, stack damage multipliers, and let Smaug's haste-fueled swings one-shot opponents. The deck leans on redundant Treasure generators (Strike It Rich, Goldspan Dragon, Magda, Brazen Outlaw, Brass's Bounty) and a trio of damage doublers/triplers (Fiery Emancipation, Twinflame Tyrant, Mjolnir, Hammer of Thor) to turn a modest Treasure pile into lethal burn. Secondary paths include Hellkite Tyrant's 20-artifact alternate win, artifact-ETB pingers like Reckless Fireweaver and Ingenious Artillerist, and dragon combat beats with Scourge of the Throne extra combats. It is a mid-speed, value-driven burn deck that wins through inevitability rather than combo.
