Deck overview

This deck is an Esper Sphinx tribal powerhouse led by The Ur-Sphinx. It uses Eminence and cost-reduction artifacts like Urza's Incubator and Heartless Summoning to cast expensive Sphinxes ahead of curve. Once an engine like Unesh, Criosphinx Sovereign or Consecrated Sphinx is in play, the deck chains massive flying threats while keeping a full grip of cards. Opponents are kept off-balance through efficient counterspells and asymmetric wipes like Raise the Palisade and Cyclonic Rift. The deck closes the game rapidly through combat damage bolstered by Magister Sphinx, Medomai the Ageless, and Door of Destinies.
