Commander: The Unagi of Kyoshi Island

Bracket: 5

Deck overview

The Unagi of Kyoshi Island commands a mono-blue combo-control deck that weaponizes symmetrical card draw to generate massive personal card advantage. By deploying early draw engines like Howling Mine, Kami of the Crescent Moon, and Folio of Fancies, you trigger the commander whenever opponents draw their second card each turn, drawing two cards in return. This overwhelming card velocity quickly digs into primary win conditions: infinite mana via Isochron Scepter imprinting Dramatic Reversal, Hullbreaker Horror loops with positive mana rocks, or Valley Floodcaller bounce engines. You finish the game by forcing opponents to draw or mill their entire libraries using Folio of Fancies, Prosperity, or Fascination.
