New Untitled Deck by Jdcl

Format: Commander

Commander: Rootha, Mastering the Moment

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet spellslinger token swarm built around Rootha, Mastering the Moment. You cast instants and sorceries to trigger Rootha, Mastering the Moment at the start of combat and create a flying, hasty X/X Elemental where X equals the highest mana value you cast that turn. The plan is to pair that trigger with payoffs that turn spells into boards: Rite of the Dragoncaller makes 5/5 Dragons, Brudiclad, Telchor Engineer turns all tokens into the best token you control, and Balmor, Battlemage Captain, Veyran, Voice of Duality, and Storm-Kiln Artist scale with each cast or copy. Big spells like Magma Opus, Furygale Flocking, and Volcanic Salvo make huge Rootha tokens, while Prismari, the Inspiration gives your instants and sorceries storm and World at War adds an extra combat. Rootha, Mastering the Moment is helpful but not essential; most wins live in the 99 and the deck can function without her.
