zurgo thunders decree by Ecooksey

Format: Commander

Commander: Zurgo, Thunder's Decree

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Zurgo, Thunder's Decree leads a Mardu go-wide Warrior token deck. The commander converts Mobilize's drawback into a persistent army: Warrior tokens gain "This token can't be sacrificed" during your end step, letting each attack build the board. The deck plans to cast Zurgo on turn three, layer repeatable token generators with Warrior anthems, then finish with extra combat steps and damage doublers. Secondary drain triggers from token entry, death, and each attack pressure life totals. There is no hidden commander; the DFCs in the list are value pieces. Without premium tutors, the deck relies on natural draws and a snowballing board, so tempo loss from wipes or Zurgo removal is the main risk.
