Deck overview

This deck is a focused mono-white Voltron strategy commanded by Balan, Wandering Knight. The core game plan deploys low-cost Equipment during the early turns, casts Balan on Turn 4, and uses Balan's instant-speed ability on Turn 5 to attach all controlled Equipment for {1}{W}. Equipping two or more items gives Balan double strike, allowing massive power boosters like Colossus Hammer, Excalibur, Sword of Eden, and Blackblade Reforged to eliminate opponents in a single attack via 21 commander damage or infect from Grafted Exoskeleton. The deck mitigates mono-white card advantage weaknesses through combat-based draw engines and Equipment tutors. While reactive disruption is sparse, the list compensates with an exceptional suite of protective Equipment and defensive spells such as Commander's Plate, Robe of Stars, and Teferi's Protection, ensuring Balan survives removal to dismantle opponents across three sequential combat steps.
