Deck overview

This deck is a Sultai midrange ramp strategy built around Zaxara, the Exemplary, aiming to convert large mana investments into overwhelming creature boards. By combining green land ramp with Zaxara, the Exemplary's two-mana tap ability, the deck rapidly accelerates into high-value X-spells. Every X-spell cast creates a scaling Hydra token, doubling the board impact of spells like Hydroid Krasis, Curse of the Swine, and Pest Infestation. Counter doublers like Doubling Season, Branching Evolution, and Unbound Flourishing magnify these threats into lethal trampling attackers. A package of blue counterspells provides reactive defense against opposing game plans, while trample enablers ensure damage pushes through blockers. The deck can also execute an infinite extra turns combo using Bootleggers' Stash and Time Sieve if both artifacts resolve alongside five lands.
