Deck overview

This mono-blue Merfolk kindred deck is led by Namor the Sub-Mariner, converting every blue noncreature spell into 1/1 Merfolk creature tokens while Namor grows with tribal density. The deck establishes early board presence through cost reducers, cantrips, and token enchantments like Deeproot Waters. Once a critical mass of Merfolk is assembled, coastal piracy effects such as Bident of Thassa and Kindred Discovery refill the hand, while lords like Lord of Atlantis and Master of the Pearl Trident grant Islandwalk. Harbinger of the Seas turns opposing nonbasics into Islands, guaranteeing unblockable attacks across the table. Powerful anthems including Coat of Arms and Banner of Kinship quickly turn modest token swarms into lethal alpha strikes, with Inundate and River's Rebuke clearing any ground resistance.
