Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Equipment Voltron and Midrange strategy commanded by Captain America, First Avenger. The primary objective is to deploy high-impact, high-mana-value equipment such as Colossus Hammer, Excalibur, Sword of Eden, and Kaldra Compleat, bypassing their hefty equip costs through Captain America's Catch ability at the beginning of combat. Once equipped, Captain America threatens rapid commander-damage eliminations while utilizing his Throw ability to deal direct damage equal to the equipment's mana value, efficiently clearing opposing blockers, planeswalkers, and utility creatures at instant speed. The deck supports this aggressive plan with dense equipment tutors like Stoneforge Mystic and Steelshaper's Gift, robust card-draw engines like Puresteel Paladin and Rhystic Study, and format-tier defensive interaction including Deflecting Swat, Fierce Guardianship, and Robe of Stars. It also houses an infinite colorless mana combo with Basalt Monolith and Zirda, the Dawnwaker, providing an alternate explosive angle to close out games.
