Deck overview

This is an Abzan life-gain/life-drain midrange deck helmed by Betor, Ancestor's Voice, built around a simple feedback loop: lifelink creatures deal damage, you gain life, and that life is converted into both +1/+1 counters (via the commander, Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn, Cradle of Vitality, Sunbond) and opponent life loss (via Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sanguine Bond, Enduring Tenacity, Defiling Daemogoth). Betor also turns life lost into reanimation, giving the deck a graveyard-rebuild angle with Eerie Ultimatum and Fix What's Broken. The primary win is incremental drain plus a life-total alt-win in Felidar Sovereign, supercharged by life doublers Rhox Faithmender and Doctor Strange, Surgeon and Beacon of Immortality. A counter-ramp subtheme (Kami of Whispered Hopes, Topiary Lecturer tapping for power) supports the mana base.
