Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius aggro-control deck commanded by Denzilore Fatehold. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap, evasive flying creatures and using frequent scry and surveil triggers to place +1/+1 counters on the entire team. Denzilore Fatehold has flash, allowing you to cast your commander at the end of an opponent's turn and immediately begin attacking and buffing your board on your own turn. Evasive beaters such as Empyrean Eagle, Thunderclap Wyvern, and Kangee, Sky Warden scale the aerial pressure, while token generation from Jace planeswalkers via Way of the Healer and Plan for All Outcomes provides a steady stream of bodies. The deck protects its proactive board state using efficient countermagic, defensive enchantments like Ghostly Prison, and protection spells like Make a Stand. It closes out games across turns 6 to 8 by converting built-up counters into lethal combat damage.
