Toxic sacrifice by user2148536

Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari deathtouch tribal deck helmed by The Serpent Society, built to flood the board with deathtouch creatures and convert combat damage into poison counters via Fynn, the Fangbearer, while death triggers generate edicts and drain. The commander doubles as a board-control engine - every deathtouch death forces each opponent to sacrifice a nontoken creature - and its ward cost threatens five poison counters on anyone who targets it. Secondary win lines include life-halving through Unstoppable Slasher, Quietus Spike, and Aphelia, Viper Whisperer's activated ability, plus incremental drain from Blood Artist and Poison-Tip Archer. The deck is a grindy midrange value pile with deep recursion, a dense draw suite, and a large cast of legendary "sub-commander" deathtouch payoffs.
