Deck overview

This is an Abzan toughness-matters deck helmed by Doran, Besieged by Time, who discounts every creature with toughness greater than its power and pumps your attackers by that same difference. The primary plan is to deploy oversized walls and turtles, then turn their toughness into damage through Assault Formation, Ancient Lumberknot, Tapestry Warden, Bedrock Tortoise, and Baldin, Century Herdmaster. A secondary, inevitability-based win comes from Betor, Kin to All, whose end-step trigger halves each opponent's life once your board's total toughness reaches 40. The deck also leans on life-gain synergies (Trostani, Selesnya's Voice, Treebeard, Gracious Host, Ikra Shidiqi, the Usurper) and mass recursion (Eerie Ultimatum, Rise of the Dark Realms) to grind out long games. It is a slow, value-oriented midrange pile with no fast combo lines.
