Format: Commander

Commander: Ares, God of War

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Ares, God of War commands an aggressive Rakdos beatdown and aristocrats strategy, backed by Obosh, the Preypiercer as an odd-cost companion. Ares forces combat while turning combat trades and sacrifice outlets into repeatable card advantage by returning dying attackers straight to your hand. The primary win condition revolves around deploying high-impact odd-mana threats like Ball Lightning, Terror of the Peaks, and Rankle and Torbran, then multiplying their combat and direct damage with Obosh, Gratuitous Violence, or Berserkers' Onslaught. Secondary lines leverage aristocrats drain from Bastion of Remembrance and combat sacrifice engines to whittle down opponents while preserving board momentum through reanimation.
