Deck overview

This deck is an optimized five-color Dragon tribal stompy and combo list commanded by The Ur-Dragon. The game plan leverages the commander's eminence ability to reduce the cost of all Dragons by one generic mana, accelerating expensive, game-ending threats ahead of curve. The early turns focus on establishing color fixing and explosive acceleration using zero-to-two mana ramp pieces like Chrome Mox, Birds of Paradise, and Farseek, alongside continuous card draw engines such as Rhystic Study and Temur Ascendancy. Once mana is established, the deck transitions on turn four into deploying devastating Dragon engines like Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, Hellkite Courser, or Tiamat. It decisively closes games either through overwhelming flying combat damage amplified by Dragon Tempest and Terror of the Peaks, or via an immediate infinite combat loop using Aggravated Assault paired with Savage Ventmaw or Klauth, Unrivaled Ancient. Robust protection from Dragonlord Dromoka, Heroic Intervention, and cheap countermagic ensures safe execution.
