Deck overview

This Golgari deck harnesses The Serpent Society to turn cheap deathtouch creatures into oppressive board-control tools and win conditions. By flooding the battlefield with efficient 1-mana and 2-mana deathtouchers, the deck establishes an early defense that opponents cannot easily attack through. Once the commander is in play, every death of a deathtouch creature forces all opponents to sacrifice a nontoken creature, turning routine combat trades, bite spells, and sacrifice draws into asymmetric board wipes. To close out games, the deck relies on Fynn, the Fangbearer to deliver lethal poison counters, Hooded Blightfang for recurring life drain, and combat card advantage from Black Widow, Deadly Hunter and Glissa Sunslayer. Built-in protection spells and the commander's punishing Ward cost protect key assets from targeted disruption while the deck grinds down the table.
