Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis combo-midrange build helmed by Marchesa, the Black Rose, where the commander serves as a value-recursion engine rather than the win condition. The primary plan is assembling a two-card infinite-combo - Splinter Twin or Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker on an untapper (Pestermite, Deceiver Exarch, or Zealous Conscripts) - and killing with an endless wave of hasty token copies. A fully independent backup line runs Mikaeus, the Unhallowed plus Murderous Redcap for infinite damage, and Buried Alive-into-Reanimate makes that cheap. When the combo is denied, the deck pivots to a dethrone-value plan: Marchesa, the Black Rose recurs anything that dies with a +1/+1 counter, so Grave Titan, Massacre Wurm, Blood Tyrant, and Master of Cruelties grind out the midgame. A dense tutor suite and tax-style draw (Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora) make the deck consistent, while the combo lines live entirely in the 99.
