Deck overview

This Golgari deck leverages Chatterfang, Squirrel General to turn any token generation into an army of 1/1 green Squirrels. Supported by dense 1-2 CMC ramp and redundant token enablers like Peregrin Took, Academy Manufactor, and Tireless Provisioner, the deck accelerates its board on curve. Once assembled on Turn 4, Chatterfang provides flexible creature removal by sacrificing Squirrels for -X/-X effects, controlling opposing commanders and utility creatures at instant speed. On Turns 5 and 6, explosive token multipliers such as Deep Forest Hermit, Primal Vigor, and The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl generate overwhelming board presence. The deck closes games around Turn 7 via coordinated combat damage with trample and menace anthems or non-combat drain from Valley Rotcaller, Nadier's Nightblade, and Blood Artist. While vulnerable to mass exile sweepers and lacking stack-based countermagic, its high card density and tutor package ensure consistent engine recovery and execution.
