Deck overview

This Golgari deck goes wide with tokens and drains the table with death triggers. Witherbloom, the Balancer is a cost reducer - it gets cheaper for each creature you control and makes your instants and sorceries cheaper the same way - plus a flying, deathtouch blocker. You rarely need it to win. The real engine is Chatterfang, Squirrel General and other token doublers that turn every Saproling, Thrull, Treasure, or Food into extra bodies. You win by looping Chain of Smog with Witherbloom Apprentice for infinite magecraft drain, or by looping Sprout Swarm with Ashnod's Altar plus Pitiless Plunderer or Parallel Lives for infinite aristocrat triggers. Craterhoof Behemoth and Bolas's Citadel provide combat and top-deck wins when combos are disrupted.
