Deck overview

This deck is an Esper lifegain control build commanded by Oloro, Ageless Ascetic. It leverages Oloro's eminence ability to maintain a healthy life buffer and fuel lifegain triggers without needing to cast the commander immediately. The early game focuses on setting up mana rocks and pillowfort defenses like Ghostly Prison and Propaganda alongside persistent card draw engines such as Rhystic Study, Black Market Connections, and Cosmos Elixir. In the mid-game, the deck controls opposing threats with efficient single-target removal like Swords to Plowshares and Void Rend while taxing actions through Drannith Magistrate and Sheoldred, the Apocalypse. The primary win condition is an infinite life-drain loop pairing Exquisite Blood with Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Enduring Tenacity, or Marauding Blight-Priest, closing the game in a single turn. Backup victory paths include Aetherflux Reservoir laser strikes and Crested Sunmare Horse armies.
