Format: Commander

Commander: Tergrid, God of Fright // Tergrid's Lantern

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Tergrid, God of Fright is the deck's payoff: nearly every spell forces opponents to discard or sacrifice so Tergrid can steal those permanents. The back face, Tergrid's Lantern, is a backup enabler and drain that can be cast when the creature is too expensive, but the deck is built around the front face. Secondary paths are discard-based life drain from Fell Specter, Hopeless Nightmare, and Davriel, plus symmetrical resource denial from Pox, Death Cloud, Smokestack, and Braids. There is no hidden commander. The deck wins by stripping hands and boards, stealing the best permanents, then closing with combat and drain. It is a slow, grindy value deck with no combo finish.
