Deck overview

This Abzan toughness-matters deck is helmed by Felothar the Steadfast, turning every high-toughness creature into a formidable attacker and a card-draw engine. The primary plan is to deploy toughness-enabling effects like Assault Formation and Doran, the Siege Tower, then swing with unblockable walls (thanks to Sidar Kondo of Jamuraa and Access Tunnel) while using Felothar's activated ability to convert sacrificed creatures into card advantage. A secondary combo line uses Tree of Perdition to set an opponent's life to 13, then Triskaidekaphobia to eliminate them on the next upkeep. The deck also packs Nethroi, Apex of Death for mass reanimation and Defense of the Heart to fetch key pieces. It wins through incremental combat damage or the life-total combo, with moderate speed but solid resilience through recursion and protection.
