Format: Commander

Commander: Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar and Cloakwood Hermit

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Shadowheart and Cloakwood Hermit form a Golgari aristocrats engine: sacrifice high-power creatures to draw cards, then use the Background to turn each creature-card death into two Squirrel tokens. The deck's primary win is a death-trigger engine-Chatterfang plus Pitiless Plunderer plus Phyrexian Altar plus a Blood Artist effect-that loops Squirrels for infinite mana and life drain. Secondary paths include Jarad flinging a giant Jumbo Cactuar or Daemogoth Titan, and token mass culminating in Epic Struggle. Heavy recursion and sacrifice outlets keep the board moving. The double-faced Sephiroth in the 99 is a value engine, not a hidden commander; the deck is built around Shadowheart's draw and Hermit's token generation.
