Marchesa Modular v1.1 by Jmdt784

Format: Commander

Commander: Marchesa, the Black Rose

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Grixis Marchesa deck plays a Modular midrange game that turns creature deaths into resources. Cheap artifact creatures like Arcbound Worker, Iron Apprentice and Arcbound Ravager enter with +1/+1 counters, while free sacrifice outlets such as Hammerhead, Maggia Boss, Viscera Seer, Goblin Bombardment, Ashnod's Altar and Krark-Clan Ironworks let you move those counters at instant speed. Marchesa, the Black Rose gives all your creatures dethrone and returns any creature that dies with a +1/+1 counter at the next end step, so normal removal preserves your board and counters. The deck wins by growing Kappa Cannoneer and Arcbound Crusher, burning with All Will Be One and Marionette Apprentice, or looping Murderous Redcap with a sacrifice outlet and a counter source.
