Deck overview

This deck is a Bant +1/+1 counters and Hydra stompy strategy commanded by Helga, Skittish Seer. The game plan accelerates through 1-2 mana ramp into a Turn 3 Helga deployment. Once active, Helga converts large creature spells and X-cost Hydras into card draw, life gain, and substantial mana production. The deck rapidly scales board presence using counter multipliers like Branching Evolution, Doubling Season, and Innkeeper's Talent. Critical pressure begins on Turn 5 with explosive threats such as Kalonian Hydra and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider. Evasion enablers like Herald of Secret Streams, Garruk's Uprising, and Akroma's Will allow these massive creatures to bypass opposing blockers and close the game across Turns 6 and 7. The list maintains strong engine independence through standalone beaters, though it relies on proactive creature combat rather than infinite combos or hard lockouts.
