Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Zombie tribal and midrange reanimator strategy helmed by The Scarab God. The game plan revolves around deploying an early curve of synergistic Zombie creatures and mana rocks to establish board presence and continuous card flow. Once The Scarab God enters the battlefield on Turn 5, it transforms the Zombie army into an inevitable win condition through upkeep life drain and scrying, while providing instant-speed reanimation that turns opposing graveyards into powerful 4/4 Zombie copies. The deck reinforces this core engine with tribal lords like Death Baron and Undead Warchief, explosive token generators like Geralf, the Fleshwright and Army of the Damned, and burst finishers like Gray Merchant of Asphodel. Interaction is handled via flexible counterspells, creature edicts, and asymmetric board wipes, allowing the deck to control the pace of the game while steadily closing out opponents through combat and non-combat life loss.
