Format: Commander

Commander: Kellan, the Kid

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a highly synergistic Bant midrange strategy built around Kellan, the Kid. The primary game plan leverages casting spells from non-hand zones-specifically utilizing the Adventure, Foretell, and Plot mechanics-to trigger Kellan s ability. This allows the deck to cheat out permanent spells or rapidly ramp lands directly onto the battlefield. By combining these cast-from-exile mechanics with a robust Landfall package featuring Scute Swarm, Tatyova, Benthic Druid, and Felidar Retreat, the deck generates overwhelming board presence and card advantage. It eschews traditional infinite combos in favor of explosive, value-driven combat inevitability. The deck plays as an engine-based midrange deck that excels at out-resourcing opponents while maintaining a flexible, interactive suite of adventure-based utility spells.
