Deck overview

This deck is a high-power Izzet spellslinger control build designed to assemble an uncounterable commander, Niv-Mizzet, Parun, and finish the game with a two-card infinite draw-and-ping loop using Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout. The early game focuses on deploying 2-CMC mana rocks, cost reducers like Baral, Chief of Compliance, and early draw engines like Mystic Remora and Rhystic Study. By Turn 5, the deck casts its commander with counterspell backup. On Turn 6, attaching a Curiosity effect initiates a self-sustaining trigger loop: dealing damage to an opponent draws a card, which triggers Niv-Mizzet to deal another damage. Drawing the entire library generates Treasure mana and finds Psychosis Crawler to ensure lethal damage across all 120 opposing life points. The deck boasts format-ceiling reactive countermagic, robust shielding, and consistent mid-game inevitability.
