Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Jund midrange engine built around Auntie Ool, Cursewretch, weaponizing -1/-1 counters into immediate card velocity and asymmetric life drain. By pairing blight, wither, and persistent counter distribution with token generators like Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs, the deck converts creature combat and attrition into continuous resource advantage. It controls opposing boards by shrinking or wiping opposing threats while leveraging Aristocrats finishers such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, and Obelisk Spider to close out the game. Supported by versatile black tutors, efficient ramp, and compact synergies like Devoted Druid and Quillspike, the list steadily accrues overwhelming card advantage and inevitable life loss across the table.
