Commander: Kona, Rescue Beastie

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck, helmed by Kona, Rescue Beastie, aims to exploit its commander's Survival trigger-putting a permanent from hand onto the battlefield at the beginning of the second main phase if Kona is tapped. By attacking with Kona (or tapping it via Relic of Legends or The Shire), the deck cheats enormous creatures like Craterhoof Behemoth, Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, or Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger into play ahead of curve. A dense package of mana dorks (over a dozen) and land-ramp spells accelerates the plan, while conditional draw engines (Elemental Bond, Garruk's Uprising, The Great Henge) keep cards flowing. The primary win condition is a massive combat overrun via Craterhoof or End-Raze Forerunners supported by token producers like Avenger of Zendikar. The deck is straightforward but fragile: it lacks interaction, board protection, and consistent land drops (only 26 lands).
