Deck overview

This mono-red Voltron deck centers on Gimli of the Glittering Caves, leveraging his natural double strike, growth trigger from legendary creatures, and combat-damage Treasure generation. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Gimli on Turn 3, equipping him with power-boosting gear or casting legendary support on Turn 4, and utilizing damage multipliers or evasion by Turn 5 to eliminate opponents in rapid succession. The deck features extensive functional redundancy in equipment and stat modifiers, including cards like Two-Handed Axe, Bloodforged Battle-Axe, and Raphael, the Muscle, which synergize powerfully with double strike to scale damage exponentially. While aggressive and explosive in combat, the deck remains vulnerable to well-timed spot removal and creature board wipes, as it lacks stack interaction and relies heavily on equipment-based protection. Goad effects from creatures like Puppet Master, String Puller help clear blocking lanes and divert opposing attacks while Gimli systematically eliminates each opponent across turns 5 through 7.
