Commander: Kefka, Court Mage // Kefka, Ruler of Ruin

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Kefka, Court Mage is a Grixis value/combo deck built around the front face: forced discards on entry and attack fuel card draw, while Waste Not and Liliana's Caress convert discards into mana, Zombies, and damage. The fastest path is a deterministic combo-Krark's Thumb + Laboratory Maniac + Squee's Revenge-where every flip is won and the library is drawn into a Lab Maniac victory. Secondary plans include Bolas's Citadel/Aetherflux Reservoir life-gain burn, Exalted Flamer/Veyran trigger pings, and a hidden Okaun/Zndrsplt coin-flip partner pair in the 99. The back face is only a late-game engine once life-loss triggers are online; the front face is clearly the primary mode.
