Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Mono-Black Aristocrats strategy commanded by Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER. The primary game plan revolves around generating sacrificial creature tokens and recurring cheap threats to trigger Sephiroth's life drain and card draw. The deck transitions into a lethal combo finish as early as Turn 4 using Warren Soultrader and Forsaken Miner, which generates an infinite crime-and-drain loop with Sephiroth in play. Alternatively, lines utilizing Gravecrawler and Phyrexian Altar or value storms with Yawgmoth, Thran Physician and Bolas's Citadel provide lethal redundancy. A dense suite of creature edicts keeps opposing creature strategies suppressed while fueling your graveyard engines. Although vulnerable to targeted graveyard hate and lacking stack interaction, the deck features exceptional recursion that allows it to recover rapidly from board wipes and targeted removal.
