Deck overview

This deck executes a focused combo strategy centered on Geist of Saint Thalia and 30 copies of Sphinx's Approach. The commander reduces the cost of noncreature spells by one generic mana, allowing Sphinx's Approach to be cast for only {U}{U}. By casting Approaches or discarding them with wheel effects, the deck places four copies into the graveyard. Casting a fifth Approach exiles the four in the graveyard to put Sphinx of the Chimes directly onto the battlefield. From there, discarding pairs of identical Approaches draws four cards repeatedly at zero mana cost. This draws the entire library in a single turn, generating mana with zero-cost and discounted mana rocks to deploy Laboratory Maniac or Psychic Corrosion for an immediate win. Backed by a dense suite of cheap countermagic, the deck achieves high consistency and rapid same-turn finishes while remaining largely unaffected by traditional singleton variance.
