Deck overview

This Selesnya deck is led by Lathiel, the Bounteous Dawn and blends lifegain synergies with +1/+1 counter beatdown, supported by an evocative Horse, Unicorn, and Pegasus tribal subtheme. The primary strategy involves deploying low-cost lifegain enablers during the early turns, casting Lathiel on Turn 4, and leveraging end-step counter distribution to grow an overwhelming board of creatures. On Turn 5, high-impact payoffs such as Crested Sunmare, Rhox Faithmender, or Felidar Sovereign turn life total gains into rapid table pressure. While the deck generates high creature stats and sustained life totals, it lacks fast mana and dedicated combo lines. It wins primarily through multi-turn combat damage bolstered by Akroma's Will or alternate life-total triggers. Spot removal and protective spells keep the board intact, though the strategy remains vulnerable to board wipes and heavy interaction across its three-cycle closing window.
