Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Superfriends control deck commanded by Nicol Bolas, the Ravager // Nicol Bolas, the Arisen. Its primary strategy focuses on establishing early mana acceleration, deploying asymmetric discard and tax effects to drain opposing resources, and resolving powerful planeswalkers to dominate the late game. By leveraging symmetrical discard cards like Bottomless Pit and Court of Ambition alongside draw-punishers like Sheoldred, the Apocalypse and Notion Thief, the deck forces opponents into top-deck mode while maintaining healthy card flow. Proliferate engines such as Flux Channeler, Deepglow Skate, and Karn's Bastion rapidly advance planeswalker loyalty toward game-ending ultimate abilities, including Nicol Bolas, Dragon-God and Chandra, Awakened Inferno. Efficient board wipes and low-cost countermagic protect key permanents against aggressive boards. While the deck lacks fast combo finishes and requires multiple turn cycles to eliminate opponents, its grinding attrition engine and overwhelming planeswalker value create a dominant, inevitable victory in prolonged multiplayer games.
