Commander: The Swarmlord

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This Temur build is a counters-matter battlecruiser deck. The Swarmlord serves as both a scaling commander-damage threat and a draw engine: every cast makes it bigger, and whenever a creature with a counter dies, the deck draws a card. Landfall and kicker creatures create a board of +1/+1-counter creatures, while Xyris, the Writhing Storm acts as a hidden commander, turning combat into extra cards and Snake tokens. There is no compact infinite combo; the deck wins through repeated commander attacks, backed by Valakut Invoker and recursion from Reap the Past and The Mending of Dominaria. It lacks fast mana and clear evasion, so games tend to go long.
