Thantis at Home by Gwim

Format: Commander

Commander: Thantis, the Warweaver

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This deck is a Jund "Forced Combat" and "Group Slug" strategy led by Thantis, the Warweaver. The primary goal is to disrupt traditional board stalls by forcing all creatures to attack each combat, leveraging Thantis s ability to grow into a lethal threat as opponents are compelled to swing into your defenses. The deck utilizes "Goad" mechanics via Geode Rager and Alexios, Deimos of Kosmos, alongside "Rattlesnake" effects like Watcher in the Web and Archetype of Finality to ensure combat is directed elsewhere. Win conditions revolve around massive combat damage amplified by Dictate of the Twin Gods, Obosh, the Preypiercer, and Angrath's Marauders, or draining the table through Kardur, Doomscourge and Rotwidow Pack. It plays a political game, providing symmetrical mana through Mana Flare to accelerate the game's pace while punishing opponents for the very resources they receive.
