Deck overview

This deck is an Esper mid-range build helmed by Inquisitor Greyfax, focused on tapping opposing threats, investigating for card flow, and turning mid-sized creatures into lethal threats via vigilance, stat boosts, and keyword distribution. The deck incorporates a prominent clone subtheme using Clever Impersonator, Evil Twin, Impossible Man, and Superior Spider-Man to replicate high-value opposing threats. Once a board is established, Odric, Lunarch Marshal acts as the primary force multiplier, conferring flying, double strike, and lifelink across the army. However, the deck suffers from low mana acceleration, running nearly no early mana rocks beside Sol Ring, which leaves it playing strictly on curve. Card advantage is heavily tied to expensive Clue cracking and combat steps, making recovery from mass removal slow and demanding.
