Deck overview

This Esper list is an aggressive reanimator built around Hashaton, Scarab's Fist's copy trigger: a dense looting package (Merfolk Looter, Careful Study, Frantic Search, Windfall, Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator) fills the graveyard with game-ending creatures, which Hashaton then converts into 4/4 black Zombie copies for {2}{U}, entirely bypassing mana costs. The primary path to victory is combat - token copies of Blightsteel Colossus (infect), Valgavoth, Terror Eater, Sepulchral Primordial, and Sire of Stagnation apply relentless pressure, and Akroma's Will turns the swarm lethal. A zombie-token subtheme (Bone Miser, Cryptbreaker, Cryptcaller Chariot, Renewed Solidarity) makes every discard productive, while a genuine reanimation suite (Reanimate, Living Death, Victimize, Agadeem's Awakening, Behold the Sinister Six) re-buys the real threats. A niche infinite line - Tortured Existence + Bone Miser + Skirge Familiar - exists as an alternate finish, though the deck has little ability to tutor for it.
