Deck overview

Aerid Konstrari supplies a repeatable Heartwood-token engine and grows its own power from the artifact count. The deck develops through mana creatures, artifact ramp, landfall tokens, and token payoffs such as Academy Manufactor, Peregrin Took, Tireless Provisioner, and Roxanne, Starfall Savant. Its strongest games combine several artifacts with Nettlecyst, Craterclaw Colossus, Ingenious Artillerist, or Old Gnawbone for a large combat or damage turn. In ordinary play, the commander is cast around turn 4 or 5, becomes operational around turn 6 or 7, and creates a must-answer attack around turn 8. The deck lacks reliable tutors, compact combos, and enough protection to convert that pressure into a dependable table kill. It is better at producing a threatening board than at closing quickly, and its expensive permanents make it vulnerable to sweepers and targeted disruption.
