Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan midrange build that blends go-wide token creation with aggressive +1/+1 counter scaling under Felothar, Dawn of the Abzan. Early turns prioritize mana dorks and low-cost token generators to establish a wide board state before Felothar enters. Once deployed, Felothar converts expendable tokens and utility creatures into permanent team-wide buffs on enter and attack steps. The deck supports this aggressive growth with counter multipliers like Hardened Scales and Kami of Whispered Hopes, while silencing opponent interaction during critical turns via Myrel, Shield of Argive and Voice of Victory. The primary path to victory involves assembling a critical mass of enlarged attackers by Turn 6, then finishing the table with decisive overrun effects like Craterhoof Behemoth, Moonshaker Cavalry, Akroma's Will, or Triumph of the Hordes. Robust defensive options like Flare of Fortitude and Flawless Maneuver help preserve the board against wipes.
