Deck overview

This Golgari Snake-tribal deck, helmed by Aphelia, Viper Whisperer, is a deathtouch-focused attrition strategy that converts attacks into token generation and life-total manipulation. The primary game plan is to deploy cheap deathtouch Snakes, use Aphelia's attack trigger to create additional Snake tokens, then activate her {4}{B} ability to halve opponents' life totals whenever those Snakes connect. Secondary win conditions include the Exquisite Blood + Enduring Tenacity infinite life-drain loop, amplified by Bloodletter of Aclazotz and Wound Reflection, and overrun effects like Beastmaster Ascension or Banner of Kinship. The deck packs solid tribal synergy, a modest recursion suite, and a handful of protection pieces, but its tutor access is thin, forcing it to rely on natural draws and combat to find its key pieces.
