Commander: Derevi, Empyrial Tactician

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Derevi, Empyrial Tactician leads a Bant stax and combo strategy designed to control the pace of the game through asymmetric resource denial and untap triggers. The deck deploys rule of law pieces such as Archon of Emeria and Eidolon of Rhetoric to restrict opponents to one spell per turn, while Derevi bypasses these restrictions using activated abilities and combat untaps. Combat damage engines like Edric, Spymaster of Trest and Bident of Thassa draw into tutors and protection. The primary win condition loops Derevi with Emiel the Blessed alongside mana engines like Chromatic Orrery or Scorched Ruins to generate infinite mana, tap every opposing permanent, and draw the entire library.
