Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai spellslinger and typal strategy commanded by Gandalf, Party Guest. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap legendary Wizards on early turns to scale Gandalf's combat trigger. Once Gandalf enters the battlefield, he casts high-impact instant and sorcery spells directly from hand without paying their mana costs, bypassing the normal timing and mana restrictions of heavy spells. The deck converts this mana velocity into overwhelming card advantage using draw spells like Traverse Eternity and Harmonized Crescendo, while generating wide armies of flying tokens through Kykar, Wind's Fury, Shark Typhoon, and Hermes, Overseer of Elpis. One-sided sweepers such as Raise the Palisade and Urza's Ruinous Blast clear opposing battlefields while leaving the Wizard core intact, allowing evasive token swarms and cloned Wizards to close out the game over two rapid combat turns.
