Deck overview

This Grixis deck pairs Tevesh Szat, Doom of Fools and Kraum, Ludevic's Opus to form a resilient theft-and-aristocrats control strategy. The primary game plan establishes early mana velocity to deploy Tevesh Szat on Turn 4, generating Thrull tokens that fuel card draw and sacrifice engines. The deck continuously steals opposing permanents—temporarily with spells like Kari Zev's Expertise and Loki's Scepter, or permanently with Agent of Treachery and Hostage Taker—before sacrificing them to Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Tower, or Tevesh to deny opponents their resources. Attrition engines such as Grave Pact and Sothera, the Supervoid keep opposing creature boards completely clear. The deck closes games around Turn 8 through mass theft finishers like Mob Rule and Insurrection, or by grinding out the table with an evasive commander clock.
