Deck overview

This Simic deck leverages the partner pairing of Pir, Imaginative Rascal and Toothy, Imaginary Friend to convert card draws into +1/+1 counters and those counters back into massive card draw. Supported by efficient 1-drop mana dorks and land ramp, the deck curves Pir into Toothy by Turn 3. Every subsequent draw trigger places additional counters on Toothy, which compounds rapidly with cards like Innkeeper's Talent, Kami of Whispered Hopes, and Sylvan Library. Flickering or bouncing Toothy with spells like Essence Flux or Displacer Kitten refills the hand while immediately re-triggering growth. The deck finishes games by granting its massive board evasion through Herald of Secret Streams, Kodama of the West Tree, or Kalonian Hydra, or by drawing the entire library into Laboratory Maniac and Jace, Wielder of Mysteries. Toothy's built-in leaves-the-battlefield draw trigger provides excellent resilience against removal.
