Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Angel tribal midrange strategy piloted by Liesa, Shroud of Dusk. It combines evasive aerial combat with lifegain synergies and passive life-loss attrition. The game plan focuses on establishing early ramp and tribal cost reducers, such as Giada, Font of Hope and Starnheim Aspirant, into mid-game engines like Righteous Valkyrie and Resplendent Angel. Casting Liesa on Turn 5 applies a global tax of 2 life per spell cast, severely punishing fast storm or spellslinger opponents while turning the pilot's life total into an expendable mana resource. Because Liesa uses life payments rather than the conventional commander tax, the deck recovers swiftly from removal. Win conditions focus on overwhelming flying damage, alpha strikes via Akroma's Will, and alternate win triggers with Angel of Destiny. Interaction is primarily flexible permanent exile spells, backed by situational hate pieces like Drana and Linvala.
