Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Rakdos combo-control strategy commanded by Smaug the Impenetrable. Smaug possesses flying, haste, and indestructible, and its triggered ability creates a Treasure token for every point of noncombat damage dealt to it. The deck accelerates through early turns using dense fast mana and explosive rituals, deploying Smaug ahead of curve on Turn 4. Once Smaug enters the battlefield, the pilot targets it with self-damage spells like Cut Propulsion, Fire Covenant, Blasphemous Act, or Star of Extinction, instantly producing 13 to 20+ Treasure tokens. These resources immediately convert into a same-turn victory via infinite damage loops with Blazing Sunsteel, massive life-drain triggers from Mirkwood Bats and Reckless Fireweaver, or a game-ending Torment of Hailfire. Indestructibility shields Smaug from its own sweepers, while a backup suite of alternate dragons and Brash Taunter ensures resilient redundant win paths.
